Me again. how to get the crank pulley (gear) off? engine out, on stand. I will be kinda a pest as this (rebuild) goes along....Sorry.

Have someone secure the flywheel end with a prybar while you remove the center bolt from the gear and from then on its gravy. Or you can use a impact wrench if you have one.

I used a block of wood to wedge the crank in place - while the engine was in the car and the oil pan off.

thanks y'all. got it off. heat, BFH, punch, and a prayer. Impact just broke stuff. Waaaaay more than 96 lbs. Magilla gorilla was the last one here. looking forward to the end result! On to the rest.....
