Hi I just bought a 2000 LSI with 99,000 miles on it. I was going add 1/3 a can of seafoam to the gas tank, crankcase and throttle body but:

I am an idiot and don't know where to pour the seaform into the throttle body, since it connects horizontally to the air intake/air filter manifold:

Should I just disconnect the air intake manifold and pour the seafoam in sideways?

On the opposite side of the intake you can see a large vacuum line that goes to the brake master cylinder. I have disconnected that at the brake end and poured Seafoam into the hose - with the engine running the vacuum will suck it into the engine.

Another option is to pull the spark plugs, pour seafoam into the cylinder through the spark plug hole and let it soak for at elast a few hours. Then cover the holes with rags, spin the engine to push out most of the liquid, clean up, re-install the spark plugs, fire up the engine and go. Good Luck!

Worked great; 1/3 in the gas tank, crankcase and the brake booster line. The entire street was covered in smoke though, my neighbors thought there was a fire! I waited 15 minutes, went on the highway until the smoke cleared out. This morning, took the metro to jiffy lube, new oil and filter and car runs very quiet and much smoother at idle now. A bit more pick up too and my check engine light finally turned off. Looks like I was just under the limit of crud in my engine for seafoam to be effective; thanks everyone for you advice on the forum!
