My engine has a fel pro head gasket, I think I should replace soon. The fel pro and Victor sets are the only ones I have seen with all the other gaskets that need replacing. Should I get a fel pro set just to get other gaskets, and use this head gasket? http://www.ebay.com/itm/270920776215?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649 I am on a very tight budget, but I also want this car to last. What do you guys use for the other gaskets? Some of them seem to be available only with the fel pro and victor sets. If possible I want to get all gaskets and valve stem seals for under $100. Engine has about 140k actual miles, all stock. Would like an underdrive pulley if I can get one with 5 holes and A/C. Also would like to change camshaft and/or sprocket for MPG, but my tight budget... The reason I replaced the head gasket in first place was I thought my coolant problem was there, but turned out to be defective radiator (did not leak, but let air in, pressure cap not fitting properly). That was before I moved engine to my 94 body, no coolant issues with factory original 94 radiator! |

So what makes you think you need to replace the head gasket again? |

I messed up first time, had to pull head and put back with same gasket. Will do compression test later today, engine idles rough. After reading about fel pro gaskets here, I think should be done again eventually even if compression is good. Also clean valves while I'm at it, clean headers. |
