Hey Snowy, think you can get "Barney" done on my way through next weekend? :D

Ok, that request might take a smidge longer! :P

Hey, folks remember that we alot of high school students who are in shop class, not all have metros of their own. if you get real lucky, you might find someone attending the local tech school. these are both GREAT reasourses.

talk to the teachers/ prof's, as they may direct you to a "student in need"! :thumb

The $500 paint job that I had to grind off to make a good surface to paint was kinda like wax. It kept gumming up my sandpaper. There was a macco receipt in the glove box... I think I like the "you get what you paid for" approach in this department.

I've got a few quotes. EVMetro you said you spent about 100 hours on it. With my many activities and family commitments, 100 hours on the GEO equates to about 100 weeks! I don't want to wait that long. That being said, I can pay a very reputable man (sole propreitor type) who, based on references, will do an excellent job (to include pulling interior panels and minor body work) for around $1800. So for 1800, i can spend the extra 100 hours doing my hobbies (which generate income) and spending time with my family. It looks like I'll drop off the car on the 8th of October. I just wanted to run this by the pro's here at GMF to get their 2 cents. Thanks all.

18 hundred for an open door, open hood, clear coat job is a very good price.

1 hour of a journeyman can equal a whole day of a novice. If 1800 is what meets your budget, it will probably be a fair deal. Not a crappy 500$ job, not a 10,000$ showcar job. I have a feeling that you will be happy.
