Good evening people,

I've found that my tranny was misbehaving, high rev to shift ratio, the spark came that the oil might be low. Well, the dipstic was dry, you could light a match on it. I've seen leakage, panic, I've got some Ford GM, tranny oil, poured in a quart, still not even halfway, but I was able to drive it home. at home we found out (with mechanic grandpa) that the seal between the tranny and the CV axle was "herniated" and leaking and dripping in a nice ray. I've read some comments about the seal, (TIMKEN 223540) IS this the correct one?

How much oil do I need, and what type/brand? :-/

Internet also confised me, saying it's a differential output seal, crankshaft seal, and timing cover seal. WTF?
