...or you could MOVE to Oregon if life is so bad in PA. Just sayin'.
Shoot, OR has a state income tax. It's better to visit and buy all you can and go back home.

That's why it's better to visit and buy stuff and then go home.

I have new cell service from Republic Wireless. $19 a month but man the taxes hurt. almost 24% in pa !!

SO I did some checking total taxes in oregon is only 6.86%

so I am hoping someone here is from oregon and will let me use their address. no mail will come to it (its all online) but I need a legitimate mailing address in oregon I can use especially if they test it by sending a letter (highly unlikely to ever happen)

nevada and idaho can also work especially outside major cities (which sometimes add their own extra taxes) they are both just over 7%

so anyone from those states mind helping out ?
Do you buy Starbucks?
Do you go out to movies at a movie theater?
Do you drive your Geo for times you could bike ride or walk?
Do you buy ANY "gourmet" groceries instead of bottom-shelf store brand?
Do you buy a large drink at a restaurant instead of water or buying the drink in bulk at a store?

Any of these things will quickly total to $4.56/mo.

Seriously, unless you are pinching EVERY penny you spend, you're not doing it right.

What you're asking is a REAL cheap-ass measure. Unless you've got your budget sealed tight and can prove you don't spend $4.56/mo wastefully, you don't deserve the title of cheap-ass :P

(in full disclosure, I do all the above except go to movie theaters, but every once in a while. I'd say I'll buy cheap but I'm far from a seasoned cheap ass :lol )

maybe not, but I can think of a hundred ways to save 15 cents/day. At that point, he better be counting how long he has his computer turned on... If he's worrying about 15 cents/day, electricity is damn expensive ^o)

The no sales tax in OR is nice... but I hate being treated like I'm too stupid to pump my own gas!

nerys is only a $4-a-month-savings microcosm of a moral/ethical/financial dilemma that we all face as individuals and Corporations. In a nut shell, if you can save your Corp $240M by moving the plant/design/engineering to China, what do you do? As company president, you have been hired to make investors, hopefully us, money. $24M from CA to AZ? $2.4M from San Diego to Modesto? $4 by sending your phone bill to a different address, and yes, Corporations in fact specifically shift billing addresses to save on taxes.

I completely agree. Safeway has the best prices, two pump jokeys and 22 pumps, its a disaster. I just pump my own reguardless. Diesels and motor cycles are except.

If it's that important to save $4 per month, why don't you save another $19/mo. by getting rid of your cell phone completely ? ^o) Might help your blood pressure also! :D
