Anyone know what the torque spec is for the rear bearings on a 2000 metro 1.0 2 door? do i just torque? or torque, back-off, retorque? help...thanks Ooops... rear WHEEL bearings. Edited by wayn, Oct 4 2012, 04:43 PM.

Which bearings? The engine main bearing cap torque is 40 foot pounds. |

If you mean the axle nut in the center of the brake drum, it's 79 or so. Doesn't really matter all that much, if the bearings and the spacer are assembled correctly, all the torque goes through the inner races and the spacer, bearings themselves aren't effected. Just make sure you peen down the outer edge of the nut into the keyway on the axle/spindle. |
