Ah....the "200 MPG Carburetor" myth. What a classic! When I was learning to work on cars it was "The 100 MPG Carburetor". Guess when companies started making 50 MPG fuel injected cars in the 80's a MPG figure that was a little more...dramatic...was needed? So now it's 200 MPG!I have been hearing about this one since I was a kid, and I damned sure ain't a kid anymore. It still makes me laugh. "Carburetor"...that alone should tell you how old this myth is. Carburetors were outdated technology 30 years ago! This myth is only even plausible if you are an earth hippie or a conspiracy nut with extremely limited automotive knowledge. Anyone who knows about engines knows, as has been said, that it is complete bullshit. Simple as that. |

Building an 1100 pound "car" with 30 hp and no safety equipment whatsoever is a far different thing than bolting a magic part onto an existing car and doubling it's mileage Edited by Woodie, Oct 13 2012, 05:11 AM.

Originally the car had a Honda 4cyl out of a CRX with a Fuel Vapor add on So what are you talking about ? Oh I see you only saw the Evaro and not the Alé MY BAD ! Here you go http://www.fuelvaporcar.com/html/the_car.html Heres a video from speedvision http://www.streetfire.net/video/sema-video-footage-by-speedvision-the-fuel-vapor_86919.htm hers a video of it driving so you don't think it's a mock up http://www.flixxy.com/fuel-vapor-car.htm There was a fire at his house that destroyed the car and tools and everything How strange ?Edited by robertino, Oct 15 2012, 05:04 PM.

There are many red flags flying with this story, all of which scream "long con". For one, there are six or seven different color cars on the website, yet "a fire at his house destroyed the car". Standard con, hand build one car, paint it six times, convince investors that you're actually building something. Gerry Wiegert rode this hustle for twenty years, look into Vector Cars. Just the statement a fire destroyed the car, and tools, and plans, and all memory of how it was done is a load of bull. Almost every one of these stories has an ending similar to that, I've heard it a hundred times. Then, don't know if you noticed it in amongst the other huge steaming piles of bullshit, but he claims that it corners at 1.7G's on street tires. That is the most ludicrous claim I've seen recently. Achieving over 1.0G without aero is practically impossible, and I see little about this "car" which suggests downforce. Formula One cars do about double that with monstrous wings, tires that last twenty minutes and will stick to a wall, and $100 million price tag. The Bugatti Veyron Supersport does 1.4G with a lot of aerodynamics, tires that last a week or two, and a price tag of $2.7 million. Please note that these cars have four wheels, a huge advantage. I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but this is a scam.

2 days ago it was 3.99, today its 4.19 Medford Oregon. Doesnt seem to bug people to much, or there not showing it. I'm still getting passed like I'm sitting still. |

I think the 'facts' may be all 'true' but they aren't represented correctly. I think the 1.7G number is from an instant G reading, like when you snap the steering wheel left to right. The mpg is believable, I think that's a Civic VX engine. The fuel vapor part is just BS like we all know. Etc etc. |

I also don't buy the G's rating but the mileage is indeed possible. The engine is the out of an HF so it already did 50MPG so even a 20% increase would be impressive. As far as the scam idea; perhaps you did not understand the fire story. The fire destroyed everything but he started from scratch again and now has a drivable example. How can you say it's a scam when he has the car to prove it? Like I said he still needs to get the NOx issue solved but it's promising. I'd buy one ! |

I'm not saying the car doesn't exist, I'm saying that any claims to have anything new are false. The fact that they blatantly lie about the cornering ability lends credence to the idea that the whole thing is warped and misrepresented. The Honda engine already got 50 mpg, you slash one third of the weight and one half of the aero drag from that, you're going to get some incredible mileage. If you want to prove something about your fabulous new "fuel vapor technology" then put it on a box stock Honda HF and compare head to head. You can lean out any engine and get good performance and very good mileage. Combustion chamber temperatures will skyrocket, right along NOx emissions. Reliability goes right out the window, but you've got a very impressive hand grenade under your hood for 5,000 miles or so. |

I agree to some extent. I've been doing some research for sometime now on reverse trikes and their abilities in cornering and from what I gather it is possible for one to spank a conventional 4 wheel design in cornering. I believe it that there are some lofty physics that I'm not going to go into detail, but never the less the physics support the claim. I'm not convinced of the 1.7g but it would be up there for sure.
