friend metro that he is letting me drive has been starting in 3rd for a long time, then sometimes it shifts fine. Today it started to downshift for no reason at different speeds you would be crusing along and suddenly jump down to second and bak to third. whats causing the sudden down shift???? thanks |

After removal and inspecting the TCM, I also noticed scorched/burnt areas in the circuits/soldering. Replaced the TCM with one from a junkyard and the trans worked fine. |
