92xjlaredo - my suggestion is don't *buy* them something , help them by DOING something! :thumb

as a "ramen noodle college kid" you've probably got more time than money. If you're handy at all with things, offer to fix or build them something. You know way more about them than any of us random internet folk could ever know, so you probably already have a good idea. If you need to give them an object, give them a happy anniversary card and something saying you'll offer X hours of time to repair/build/etc.

Benefits
--it's free, or minimal cost (cash wise)
--it's intangible , meaning it's not just something that will be spent frivolously or stuffed in the closet like so many gift cards/things are
--They'll probably have more appreciation for you actually doing something for them, than just buying something. It will make you look good :D

Above all, it's really rare for someone these days to actually take time out of their busy lives and help out with something. We are a consumerist society, and good old fashioned handiman work is a real rare gift :cheers
thats how we normally are, we each sacrafice time and effort for each other(no matter how busy we get). we spend weekends together and work on our cars/jeeps together. hes the one that helped me fix my geo and rebuild my jeep. shes one to come and help me with any kind of planning and homework problems that i have in school etc. so if i were to do something like that i would be nothing out of the normal every day relationship we have. all three of us have really good chemistry as people together and are rarely seen without at least one of the 3. so im not sure how much value that would hold. :/ goo point though!

i think i figured something out, got myself a nice card and ill write one of those "from the heart" messages on the inside of that, and i got a couple of collage style picture frames that im gonna take all of their favorite pictures and make one for each of them. frames were near free thanks to wal mart :) thank you guys much for the input.

Does anyone else here not understand marriage?
All it seems to be is a contract saying 'we will be together forever' and if the contract is broken the wife takes all your money :rofl
but in all seriousness, why do you need a piece of paper saying you'll be together forever?
why not just be together forever without all that nonsense drama if the two eventually drift apart?
Marriage is betting someone half of all your S#@T to someone the you'll love them forever. Or the other way around :rofl
Not to get too far off topic but, coming from a guy that has been married for 7 years, you guys are 100% dead on! I truly believe that there is no need for rings, a wedding, legal contract, ect... If two people want to be together, they will be with no trouble at all. ^o) Why did I get married? Because I'm an IDIOT!!! :lol

Marriage can be a beautiful thing. It can also be a terrible thing. Sorry to hear some of you have had the dark side of it. I have been very happy for over half my life with the same guy in marriage. I don't see it changing anytime soon.

I'm guessing this was directed a little bit at me. Just joking with you guys! :P My wife and I get along just fine I promise! All I was saying is that if we were just "boy friend and girl friend" I would still act/treat her the same way. No need for any contracts or expensive rings! I'm still the same Dan-O!!! :thumb

That is an awesome hoodie. I'm thinking though, that he had better find out if that is his buddies' ultimate intention though. Cute idea from a potential groomsman- but from a mutual friend- dangerous waters.

You are over thinking what to get them.

You are all college students and very good friends so if you can't afford to get them anything then they will understand.....at least they should.

Maybe the best present would be to not text, call or bother them on their anniversary.....
