Anyone know good winter tires? Looking for P155 (or 145) R12s for 91 geo. The local tire shops don't have R12 anything. Will these work? http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-NEW-155-12-HANKOOK-W401-WINTER-R-R12-TIRES-/360475843470?forcev4exp=true&forceRpt=true Anyone else looked or looking? |

I am looking, but not at that price! I just picked up 2 Yokohama all seasons for $116 delivered to my home. This is my first winter with the Geo, so I'll see how it goes. |

My daughter has those on her Elantra in a larger size. They have worked really well for her and seem to be lasting quite well for winters. This will be her fourth winter on them. |

Thanks for the feedback clarkdw, good to know. And yes I think they are a pair for that price. I'm more interested in the shipping cost -- it says free in the description but not in the shipping details.

They're on Discount Tire Direct's website for the same price, $57 each. They also have the 13" version for the newer cars for a dollar more. I'm pretty sure shipping is always free, I've never paid them shipping and I've bought about five sets of tires from them. |

Don't use them when the weather warms up. They are soft compound and wear rapidly in the summer. My daughter has two sets of wheels with summer and winter tires mounted for easy changes. I am not positive but I am pretty sure that Hankook make a tire designed for 4 seasons. Not "All season" according to them. The all season ones are in the snow. I will try and find a reference.

Thanks guys. Any comment on getting rims for these tires? If I go to the junk yard and grab the wheels from a geo metro will it fit? |
