Bought a set of 14in. Honda Accord rims for my 94 Geo which match up perfect to the 12 in. hubs. Will need the larger bulge lug nuts for sure. I have a near new set of 185/70R/14 winter tires so before I go to the trouble of mounting these on the new rims will they fit my Geo? Anyone running this size on a 94 or earlier? Any issues? Thanks in advance! |

Got 70 MPG?

That size rubs a little on the newer Geos, nothing serious, but I would expect much the same from the older ones. |

Going to the substantially larger wheels and tires would make a brake upgrade to the 95+ brakes a good idea. The greater rotating mass is going to put a pretty big load on the 10MM studs and the small solid rotor brakes. I don't know if those 185/70 tires will fit but I know that the 175/65-14 tires on my vert can be made to rub if you hit a dip or bump with the steering at close to full lock. |

Thanks for the input. Think I will mount them up and see how it goes. Anyone else please chime in. |

I have a 1991 with 185/64r14. They fit no problem, but on hard turns on bumps they rub the fender. If I had better struts/shocks I don't think it would be an issue. So yours will probably be good except hard turns. |

These are 185/70-14, worn, on a 94 BTW, the engine is out in the pic. The clearance to the fender well is so small I think new ones would rub I'll be getting 175/70 at most. Edited by rjsdotorg, Oct 30 2012, 10:51 PM.
