It won't happen and if it does, it won't sell.
:gp
Maybe not this year, or even next. But eventually we're going to return to cars like that en masse....

One or two more oil scares are *BOUND* to happen... it will be the Oil Embargo all over again or similar eventually as you get...

(Population increase, more drivers) + (ever-higher price of gas) + (American's HP addiction) + (Oil futures unpredictability)

those 4 variables will eventually push Americans to smaller cars, and if Tata plays the timing right they could sell quickly.

I wont touch this unless its $4k maybe $5k. why buy this car for $9k when you can buy a brand new nissan for $500 more?
Buy a used one if it makes it here and is successful.

There are plenty of ppl who go buy/finance "new" and end up 20k

miles into it and become disenchanted with the "new-ness" of cars....

Then a price drop occurs.

I don't see us driving cars "like" this any time soon. However, if by "like" you mean small under powered ones, yes I see us going to those already.

Versa starts at like $12000. Add in a few features and $15,000+. Realistically all together, brand new is going to run you $16,000 or so. I priced a new spark that advertises $14,000 and ended up at about $19,000 all told.

9k vs 12k is a 33% increase, 3k vs 12k is a 400% increase...
