EDIT the first truck was a pickup i saw a coupple years ago on youtube... might be able to link one is for the gears.... 1234 ect the other is for the splitter witch is a high and low.... this truck is a modified Chevy truck outfitted with a Detroit diesel and the trans that came with it... instead of an air splitter witch is usually a pull knob on the shifter like on most rigs he has another lever that splits the gears. Diesels have a small power bands that need to be geared to keep the vehicle in it hence why diesels don't go much over 3 grand ... most rigs bobtail you can keep it on the high side where as here he either has to split it or just showing off... OK, It's a little more obvious what is going on with that GMC. But in the first Video it kinda looked like some of those guys were doing more than just splitting the gears. Were some of them geared for High-Middle-Low? EX: 1st High, 1st Middle, 1st Low...2nd High, 2nd Middle, 2nd Low, and so on Actually, I probably have that backwards....it would be low, middle, high....Shit, that's confusing!!! Thanks for the Video, Potter!

It's possible, never drove a two sticker exept my willys jeep that had a brownie 2 speed to a 3 speed, so i could split and get 6. I used to have an old Kenworth dumptruck with a cat big 6, only had one shifter, but I did have a low, med, hi splitter switch on the side of the shifter knob. You would run it up through the gears, split, run it up again, split and run it up the last time. Driving on old county roads got pretty interesting pulling a d8 cat behind at speed!

Wow, I can't stop grinning. You have no idea how badly I want to drive like that...I've never owned an automatic, and I love saying that...so imagine how proud of myself I'd be if I had TWO sticks to shift! Great thread. Thanks for the vids.
