I just went from 155s to 185s. Big difference when it is raining, which around here is...constantly.

You either got too much psi in the tires or the wrong crappy tires. Thats the reason I have a hard on for yokohoma tires. I dont trigger any of the driver assisters on my honda when driving in rainy weather. No trac control, skid or abs. I am velcroed to the road. :drivin

Yeah the upgrade too 13" tires and steelies is a huge step up from 12" 155 the car handles better on cornering and doesnt feel like the tire is kicking under!!!! And more traction in rain i feel safer now no skidding all over

Your first sentence is spot on, but don't attribute it to brand. Yokahama does sell some fantastic tires. They'll also gladly sell you some hard as a rock pieces of crap. You get to choose, UTQG treadwear # is a good indicator, anything over 500 is going to provide no traction, anything under 200 is going to wear out in a year.

The tires i got are great all weather tires not too noisy and are very good on traction in rain
Had kuhmo tires which are also good tires
