![]() ![]() [ ![]() Not a very good picture but a Blue Heron looking for breakfast. I used to have one that came to see me every day at 3 pm. I used to bait up fish for him to catch. It was really neat. He would let me get close enough to touch him. I had to quit because he was getting where he would not fish on his own. In hindsight I should have not started feeding him........ |

So that is what it looks like watching the sun come up over the ocean. I only get to see it setting over it. Nice pics. We have a lot of the herons up here. Also the white eggrets. Well I think that is what they are. Large white birds shaped like the herons. |

Well To be correct it is really a bay. then the bay opens into the Gulf of Mexico. A smart ass reply when some asks "How far is it to the Ocean?" The reply is "about 400 miles" Then people say "damn I can see it." Oh you mean the Gulf of Mexico? Maybe one mile. LOL We would never do that to a Geo Owner so all of you are safe............... |

Looks really nice there. Ever since finding out Pensacola in the Geo on the Gulf meet up I've looked well into the area and am considering checking it out this November. Do you enjoy living over there? |

I enjoy living here. I was born here so it is always my home. But it is a hard place to live if you have to work. Not many good jobs, tourist type town, Lot of retires who will work cheap. Not a bad place but rough on younger people. Both of my Children have left to work in other city's. But come on down to Geos on the Gulf. You will enjoy it..........We know how to have a good time. |

Well that's a bit depressing... was thinking about calling that place my new home if I liked it! College cities are a nightmare. |

Panama City is alright in regards to that. You have PC, and PCbeach. The tourist/college crowd stays on the beach. The actual Panama City is just a normal low to mid population city. |

I have always had a distaste for the summer climate there, but those pics brightened my outlook on FL |
