Studded 13" prices?

Is it typical to pay about $100 per 13" studded tire for a Metro? The quote I got from Les Schwab here in Oregon is about $400 for 155/80/13 studded. Any better sources? They also said its about $50 a rim if I didnt want to use my summmer rims. I often here its best to by a second set of rims for stuuded tires as they charge $50 to put winter tires on your rims and then another $50 to take off. So new rims are paid for in two years because of the service charge. Any place to get stuuded tires well under $100 a piece?

Got 70 MPG?

These are 175/70/13's for $352.00 shipped. They should offer better traction than a 155. I've always upgraded from 155 tires to 175's on my Geos as the 155's scare the crap outta me in corners and wet roads.

If you are looking for winter tires you want to go with 155. The skinnier the better in snow. They cut through like butter. Go here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-NEW-155-13-HANKOOK-W401-WINTER-R-R13-TIRES-/360500388079?forcev4exp=true&forceRpt=true
They are not studded, but studable. Walmart studs tires for $8.50 a tire. The link currently has a $100 mail in rebate. I would get dedicated winter rims.
Same link but you can search for rims and none winter tires as well:
http://stores.ebay.com/Discount-Tire-Direct/_i.html?_fsub=6&_sc=1&_sop=1. Don't know if you can get two rebates or not. Nor do I know when it expires.

I will most likely be getting these rims soon:

hope this helps.

EDIT: Offer ends NOV. 4
