Pulling for ya. Been there, done that, did not like it. Talking about it does indeed seem to help. I also notice for me when I reflect on all the things the folks I saw pass no longer have and I do I feel a lot more greatfull.

Like others have said, talk to your people at work. they might already have a program set up. Nothing "Weak" about asking for help. It is a smart thing to do. Take care. Your friends are with you.......
:gp

Richard, my friend, I am so sorry that you had to go through this. No need for stories but I understand. Go to see a counselor. I am sure that your employer will have a program set up. It does not benefit you to wait.

My thoughts are with you.

thanks guys.

i fiddled around doing pretty mindless things in the garage today while i tried to get my shit in one sock. i ran a set of disassembled swift gt rear disc brake calipers on the wire wheel, got everything cleaned up, and rebuilt them. that required a little bit of concentration but left enough room for me to roll last night around in my mind and that helped a good bit.

the calipers are finished and packed up for storage. i also worked on getting parts together for the next set of lateral links for one of our group. sorting through my can of a2 stainless hardware usually calms me down, too. i take a mental inventory as i pick through the nuts, washers, and bolts and all my ocd wierdness helps me focus.

i'll be okay, thanks for letting me vent.

Had something like that happen to me. Two airplanes and four lost soles. It was a
mess to watch happen and then have to secure for the FAA. Got home and sat down with the Preacher and the Lord.

Sorry to hear that Richard. I commend you on your job.

Continue to talk about it with friends and family.

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

I think I've been on 3 deaths in the Klink. Even though its jail, they are human and have families. It was difficult for a little bit. One I was watch commander and had the brass look at me and inspect to ensure we were by the book. It's tough.

Hang in there.

Id really suggest talking to someone.

Stay away from drugs and alcohol to just cover it up. Thats no way to live.

If your religious maybe talk to your local religion leader or pastor.

I've never had anything like that happen so I can't help you much.

I would suggest try to think of it a different way. Think of it as you never know when its your time, so try to enjoy life and spend as much time with loved ones.

From personal experience (a near death experience and a few others we will not discuss) I'll throw in my 2 cents. What you have seen cannot be unseen and from time to time it will creep up on you when you least expect it. But you HAVE TO fight it away, think about your life and what is good about it. Take hold of it and strangle this feeling until its gone or it will control you. I will pray for you and I know you'll get better :cheers
