I think my timing belt is off a tooth. My car is not starting unless I give it gas, and it idles really rough. The throttle response is also delayed, if you push the pedal it doesn't rev immediately, there is a delay. Also I hear some 'ping', although I would more call it a 'rattle', but I think its what I've read in threads about having your timing belt off. About to tear into it later today, just wanted to see what y'all think. |

Doesn't sound like a plug to me. I had a bad plug and didn't have those symptoms, just to be safe check |

Still looking for help on this, my car turns over and struggles to start, eventually does but will die unless you give it gas. Checked my plugs they are all good.. waiting to see what the mpg numbers are for this tank. Any ideas? |

CEL on? If not, most likely all your sensors are OK. Check your timing marks & let us know. It does sound like the belt may have slipped a tooth (delayed throttle response, poor idle, sometimes doesn't start, sometimes dies, etc.) |
