The key word is "Can" be an indication of bad frame horns. My 91 horns were shot. But the windshield is fine. Still took a ton of welding to shore things up. But, over 2 years later, and so far so good. A broken windshield "can" mean the structural components, of the uni-body, is rusting and getting weak. With the rockers being rusty, this could mean the frame rails are too. A 4 door is a longer body. This would lead to more flex due, to the rusted uni-body, and "can" cause the windshield to crack. Now a couple nit picky Craiglist quirks of mine..................... -minimal description -no phone number -pictures size ways This tells me the seller didn't feel it necessary to take the time to make the ad. Makes me wonder how much time they took taking care of the car. I usually blow by those ad's a move onto the next. Getting a 20+ year old car, up to your standards, will cost money. All depends on your standards, resources, and ability.

when horns are bad they flex in the turns putting pressure on the corners of the windshied area of the body. |

Some really sage advice there in all the posts. Worth reading several times. Sage: adjective: Having, showing, or indicating profound wisdom. IMHO the most sage.

please realize that I am NOT saying that the cracked windshield you are looking at is because of bad horns. I am just saying that because of a cracked windshield I would inspect the horns VERY close. |
