Whatever this is theres oil leaking steadily from behind it and causing me a headache, I'm going to replace it. Any idea how it comes out and why it started leaking? Thanks :thumb

EDIT: Also when I recently changed the oil there was a very small amount of metallic shavings, anything to :shit myself over or no?

It is an orange oil filter made by the devil, twist it counter clockwise and replace with something that isn't crap!

;)

Get a socket that will fit over it. (or, if you're handy with a open end wrench) It is your oil pressure unit. <10 dollars to replace. They go bad. It has regular threads, turn it left.

I might be opening Pandora's box but, what is wrong with Fram oil filters? I have been using them on my vehicles for 25 years without any problems. Although I recently put a Beck Arnley filter on the speedbuggy. They were less than $1.50 at Rockauto so I bought 6 of them.

Fire away with the comments Metroheads! I really want to here this discussion.
