Whatever this is theres oil leaking steadily from behind it and causing me a headache, I'm going to replace it. Any idea how it comes out and why it started leaking? Thanks EDIT: Also when I recently changed the oil there was a very small amount of metallic shavings, anything to myself over or no?

It is an orange oil filter made by the devil, twist it counter clockwise and replace with something that isn't crap! ![]() Get a socket that will fit over it. (or, if you're handy with a open end wrench) It is your oil pressure unit. <10 dollars to replace. They go bad. It has regular threads, turn it left. Edited by Coche Blanco, Oct 30 2012, 09:54 PM.

I might be opening Pandora's box but, what is wrong with Fram oil filters? I have been using them on my vehicles for 25 years without any problems. Although I recently put a Beck Arnley filter on the speedbuggy. They were less than $1.50 at Rockauto so I bought 6 of them. Fire away with the comments Metroheads! I really want to here this discussion. |
