I have 95 metro lsi 1.0 that I drive. I bought a 93 metro 1.0 liter for parts. The motor in the 93 has had the lower end rebuilt. I have a 95 head that has just been rebuilt. My question is will the 95 head work on the 93 block. Also is there a difference in the intakes and if so could you tell me what it is. And what else would I have to do. One more thing, I get major gas pressure in the gas tank. If I unscrew the cap fast it will blow it out of my had. Is it suppose to have that pressure and would that make car run bad or mess with the mpg

I know there are some differences, but I don't think there are in the overall engine. That would be a question for johnny mullet. When does the pressure in the tank occur most??

95 head will work with no problem. Intake manifold and throttle body are very different. Use the intake, throttle body, thermostat housing and o2 sensor in the exhaust manifold from the body that you are using. Then it will match the wiring and ECM properly.

I have never experienced it but there is at least one thread on GMF where someone blames poor mileage and high fuel pressure on tank pressure. Can't find it right now. Try running with the cap loose enough to prevent pressure build up and see. You might generate a trouble code but it would give you some idea. Mine builds quite a bit of pressure at low fuel level and after a long drive but it doesn't seem to affect my mileage.

The pressure is all the time. I can release the pressure drive around the block and it has already has build back up some.
