In looking at the Guardsman tires on the Sears website they offer an option for "90 day tire balancing" this brings a couple of questions to mind. I am assuming this would be 90 days of unlimited balancing if you felt you needed it, anyone know if this is right? Do they balance when they mount tires? Website says nothing about balancing being part of the initial change over. Anyone know? Haven't called them yet, just wondering if others have experience with their system. I've never been anywhere where they DIDN'T balance tires when they were mounted. And that includes tires I've picked out of people's trash. Back when I was a kid, they had clean-up days when people would put out anything and everything they wanted to get rid of but wouldn't fit in the trash normally. I'd find tires to fit my car (a Corvair in those days) that still had plenty of tread. A couple bucks at a filling station to mount them, and that included balancing on a bubble-balance, which was the accepted practice in the early '70s. |
