Sucha a pity that your g/f is like that. Especially when there's all that space in the back.. my advice, when it snows take her to a large empty parking lot and let her spin the geo around on the ice. maybe then she'll see how fun the little lawn mower really is and maybe she'll even fool around with you in the back seat :p Good luck!

My GF loves my Metro. Therefore I am obligated to love my GF.

She drives a 4dr Toyota Yaris, so pretty much anything is an improvement over that, lol.

Why you Mutt!

Reminds me of a time when I took this girl on a date...went to a nice restaurant. What did she order? Yep, steak and lobster! About $25 30 years ago. Well, she got her steak and lobster (which she didn't come close to finishing), we had a good time just talking over dinner (and nothing else, but I already was clued by the alter and giant five foot cross in her living room), and never a call from me again!

If I knew then what I know now, I'd have taken home the leftovers and dined for the next week!

OTOH, for a while I dated a girl who drove a Honda 600...a car that will almost fit in the TRUNK of a Geo, and makes the Geo seem almost like a luxury car! :) Her friends could pick up the car and hide it from her, and sometimes did!

I wonder what ever happened to her?

I had my Geo in storage for over two years due to a bad engine. This fall I rebuilt it and had tremendous help from this forum. But anyways me and my girlfriend have been dating for two years and now that I got this car running she refuses to ride in it. I figured I would share this and see if any other guys here had the same problem sorry wasnt sure where to post this topic. But I appreciate all comments from all you other Geo owners. If it comes down to it she will go before the Geo.
get a new girlfriend

If she refuses to ride in your Metro, just suggest that she drive when the two of you go some place. Just think of the additional gas money you will save.

Dump her. If she can't appreciate a metro, think about what she thinks of the owner of a metro.

Yep. The metro will cost less than the girlfriend, will not make irrational judgements, and will do whatever you ask of it if you treat it nice.

It take a certain type of woman to love a metro. Luckily, I have a wife who owned one in 1989. She still drives my metro every now and then. Plus she can drive a stick. :thumb

If a woman loves a metro, she's a keeper.

I used to work with a Chinese guy (nuclear physicist). He said any kind of car (even the Metro) would be a major social status symbol, akin to a Mercedes in the US.

As far as the GF, just say Geo's are a good sign of loyalty...cuz even when the body gets rusty and has seen better days, you'll still be there.
