I was curious when I install new valve lash adjusters should I oil them or just install them. Also would like to know what to torque the rocker arm shaft down to and the valve cover. Thanks

Let them soak in oil and pump them by hand as well.

Its a 1994 geo metro 4 dr with a 1.3L 4 cylinder engine. I had a bad valve lash adjuster on the #4 cylinder. So I ordered a new one and need to install it. So I got on here to ask about oiling it before install and torque specs for the rocker shaft and valve cover.

That motor didn't come in that car stock then as there's not such thing as a 4 cylinder 4 door Geo Metro in 1994. Can you take some pictures of the engine and post them up?

Alright, that helps a lot.
Valve Train
Rocker arm adjust............................................................156 in-lbs
Rocker arm retainer..........................................................97 in-lbs
Timing belt tensioner bolt ................................................20
Timing belt tensioner nut..................................................97 in-lbs
Valve cover 1994 and older .............................................96 in-lbs
Valve cover 1995+............................................................44 in-lbs
Valve cover 1995+ 4 cyl....................................................97 in-lbs

A light coating of motor oil should be all you need to have on them.
