Wheel bearing issue

I drive a 1995 geo metro, 3cly, 5 speed. the front wheel bearings are bad and i desperately need to replace them. i noticed a bit of a wobble about a week ago and yesterday on the way home, the problem got way worse. it began to squeak a bit then clanking and popping really bad. i limped it home and wont drive it untill i swap em out. my question is, what style wheel bearing do i need? parts stores ask about the inner or outer, online insists that i need a 1 bearing style as opposed to two of them and ultimately, is this something i can manage if i have a press available or is there some black magic to these?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

P.S. will driving on a bad bearing casue significant damage, or difficulty removing the old bearings, from the hub? I have acces to a left and right hug assembly for 35 a piece at a local scrap yard

an additional thought. i saw the post about 1995's having one bearing up front but when i did my rear bearings, my drum was in such bad shape that i couldn't get the bearings out so i had to replace the drums as well. the match the preexisting ones that were on the car, i had to get a 1994 rear drum, because apparently, there was a difference. i have the vin on my car if necessary. but im 99.99% sure its a 1995

Thanks!

94 and 95 are different cars, don't look anything like each other. If your car came with 12" wheels it's a 94 or older. If your car came with 13" wheels, it's a 95 or newer. 89-94 got twelve inch wheels, solid front rotors, and two separate wheels bearings that are a pain to change. 95-01 came with 13" wheels, vented front rotors, and the two-in-one combination wheel bearing that is a little bit easier to change.

Yes, you can do horrible damage driving on a bad wheels bearing once it starts clanking and grinding. You need to fix that before the wheel falls off.
