driving home from work last night my metro suddenly died>>>all lights came on and now will not start >>>any suggestions would be helpfull what to check first etc>>> thanks |

remove oil cap and crank engine. Does the cam turn? |

As poorman1 said, do that. Your timing belt may have snapped (nothing to worry about in these cars, easily fixed). Though it could also be very simple issues. Take off each battery terminal, wiggle it a little and put back on, could be a loose battery connection? Hope you fix it soon

Go ahead and check the cam via poorman1's instructions. If not, let us know. Good news, timeing belt is so simple to replace, that a caveman can do it.
