much less as it is aluminum. Probably around 35 pounds.the entire long block probably weighs about 100 pounds. I picked up the whole thing myself.

I think that engine has an aluminum block too, but the head isn't.

Watch this "new" engine design amaze the ignorant masses as they proudly bellow "what a NEW revolutionary idea!" Why had no one done this before!?

Why you Mutt!

I suspect the G10 block is closer to 20 lbs than 35 lbs. At least that's the way it felt when I hefted one a couple weeks ago. But I've never been that great at judging weights...

I think mine, with the crank, was around 50lbs.

Besides the turbo, they have tricked it out with a few more goodies, like variable valve timing. To be fair, they probably had to include some extra beef in the block because of the extra horsepower.

The G10 block is a very elegant piece, with all the intricate webbing and detailing... really motorcycle technology. I wonder how much hp has that block been able to withstand?

I sure like the way it revs and, even after I get my MPGuino hooked up (Thanks, JellyBeanDriver), I probably won't be able to resist winding it out through the gears... :nfs it's like a little Gran Turisimo car.
