Picked up a 97 today. 1.3 liter, and everybodys favorite 3 speed automatic.

The manifold/ front cat was cracked from a prior wreck, but I welded it up. I probably should not show off that birdshit weld, but it worked great...

Looks pretty cool to see two of the same color metros...

I am pretty happy with the stickers that came with it...

All in all, I am pretty excited to have this new addition. Sounds like a new metro, runs great!

Woo hoo! Just passed smog! I was too lazy to check out my new ride, but I think if it passes smog, the compression is probably ok...

I have not updated this thread for a year or so... It sat in my back yard for many months until one of my daughters came home on break from college and took a fancy to it. I feel kinda proud of her... Now there is an Avalon sitting in the back yard where the metro was. That metro has been all over CA from Sacramento, Santa Cruz, San Diego, and who knows where. She passed through my shop about a month ago and learned how to do her own brakes. The stickers got scraped off the rear window, but she spared the NRA one.

My daughter called from Santa Cruz a couple weeks ago and said she was having troubles with this rig. I built up one of my 2000 3/5 Metros, and drove it down to her, and drove this rig back home. She was going through antifreeze, which is why I was concerned, but it was only the radiator cap. I had to weld up a bunch more cracks in the exhaust manifold, and a piece about the size of a dime was completely gone. Not sure what the problem is with this manifold and all the cracks, but it is integrated with the cat and therefore costs a grip to replace. I will just keep welding the cracks until the manifold is nothing but mig beads.

I set this one up with beats, and it sounds like the jl audio 10 is ready to be retired. This means that all the amps and stuff is definitely getting used, and she has been enjoying the beats as intended. Maybe I need to replace this 10 with two or three 10"s...

Turbo3 and Twincam Tweaker

i used 3 10" 6 ohm subs one time when i wanted a total 2 ohm load on an amp.

that system rocked it all night (pretty baby won't you rock it out with me, :P )

Looks like the end of the road for this one. This just happened today. The Prius came into my lane and took out my Metro head on.

I am as far to the right in my lane of travel as I can be, and she still got me. Both air bags gone, glove box won't close, lots of stuff dripping out.
