And now they have the PRIUS Attack Force trying to take out our Metros. I call jealousy! Hope all is well with the though.

Accidents are no fun. I lived through one that should have killed me. I broke my neck, three plates in my face, 3 ribs, a broken wrist (bent the steering wheel where I was holding onto it), the funny thing is there wasn't a spot for my legs to go, but I didn't actually have a scratch on them. I hope your injury heals clean and quickly. I dig your electric rides.

Looks like the Prius won that battle. Glad It wasn't one of the prize ones.

Here are a couple pics

Radiator fan touches the distributor now

The area here that is crunch behind the fuse box is called the upper rail. A proper repair would be to remove and replace this part, which will never happen on a car that is worth less than what an upper rail replacement repair would cost.

Glad you will be okay when the foot/ankle heals! So sad to see another Metro taken out. Poor thing. Maybe at least it can help other Metros live on?

As it turns out, that foot never got better. I just switched health insurance, and had a new doctor check out the foot to see why it still hurts and why I still limp 8 months later. The x rays show that it did break, even though the last health carrier determined that it had not. It is a mess now, but I am going in for surgery in March so they can fix it right. All of my Metros are 5 speeds, and I need two functioning feet to drive one of these after surgery. This is going to suck going back onto crutches again. I have a 97 altima that has an automatic, but I won't even be able to drive that until the foot heals enough to push a gas pedal.

It's good you got a proper diagnosis. Hopefully they have a brace that can work for your foot instead of a cast.

Or, maybe it's time for you plan your next project - to fit hand controls, or adapt a mechanized dual clutch shift assembly.

I am hanging out waiting for an mri, and found that this thread was very useful in trying to remember the original date of the injury that I needed for filling out the forms. Now I have a date logged in a good place for me to remember if I ever need to remember when I got the mri done...

Who knew that Metro fans did double duty as medical record keepers!
