I've decided to start working again. I worked at Pizza Hut for a year and a few months, had a pretty good overall experience...but now it's time to move on. I saved plenty, so I'm not in a rush to start working...but, I want some advice. My current schedule is 10:30am to 2:00pm I am unavailable to work. This is on Monday through Friday, I am free on the weekends. I am trying to stay away from food this time, but I'm not totally against it. Choices/Places I think I'd like to work: Post Office (no idea if this is reasonable or not with my schedule) Flex Merchandiser for Coca Cola (Sunday and Monday) Lowes/Home Depot Autozone (etc.) Anywhere else is good too, I'm up for anything!

try and be a waiter. if you have any busy restaurants nearby that also have bars those are the best. once you get good enough at waiting try to become a bartender, they make more money. |

Indian casino bus driver. ones around here start work at 3:15 PM and make $9 hr. Re Post Office. If there is a "hub" near you I think they work 24 hours a day. |

I would stay away from the post office. They are talking about big cuts due to financial problems. |

Highly doubt post office. They are trying to cut jobs. If you can get a job there, TAKE IT. Good money. Is there a local AMTRAK? they make good money. Also, take a look at unionpacific.com. They pay better than anyone for someone with no education/experience. They don't work around schedules though. Try your city hall. I am currently trying very hard to get a cleaning position on friday and saturday night making $12/hr. Plenty for a college kid. With spring a few months away, start going to lawnmower and small engine repair places. They might be interested although it won't be immediate. For just a basic low wage job, I'd recommend a small home town store or business. They tend to care more about you and are willing to work with you more. |

Also, if you are going to college, try to get a campus job. I am also trying to get a tutor job or a library job. They understand working around schedules and its easy work. |

I worked at Autozone for 2 years. It wasnt bad if you dont plan on making a career of it. Just show up and concentrate on selling the little packets on the counter and you'll do fine. |
