I've been pricing out a timing belt and pulley as well as an alternator belt. I guess I want to get a feel for what brand folks like. I was helping out the local NAPA store for a long time and have never had a problem with their parts, but it has been taking several visits to get them right. I see a lot of talk about light weight pulleys and such for better mileage and I am shooting 50+ mpg so this might be a good start. Any comments This is for a 2000 3 cyl. 5 spd Thanks |

NAPA has good stuff. No doubt about it. The belt and idler bearing is typically called a timing belt component kit. |

Unless you're replacing a broken one, a new timing belt will not affect millage in any way.
