Jim! Check this out...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/251367384908
I know the condition says "For parts or not working", but if you read the description, what they actually say is that they can't test it.
It's got rear camera inputs?
Well, I tried to point out a cool stereo to you... but after seeing it end twice with no bids, I got too tempted, and bought it myself. :lol
Did you ever get yourself a rear camera stereo setup? :popcorn

No, I've garaged the geo until spring. I bought the thing without rust and I intend to keep it that way. I'm driving my 2000 Ford Focus zx3 which I plan to fix up over winter break. It needs the transmission rebuilt, an exhaust, A/C service, passenger rear wheel bearing, 2 lower control arms, and then what I do with both of my cars will depend on where I end up going to college.

If I end up at my first choice of college, I won't be allowed to have a car on campus for 2 years so I'd sell the focus and put the money into turning The Red Baron into the "AeroMetro" which basically involves turning the car into a 100 MPG vehicle. But that's a whole different story...

That sounds about normal for a Focus. Tell me, have the rear wheels gone massively out of camber yet? :D Just wait, they will. And when you fix them, they'll do it again. I used to be a parts counter guy for a Chrysler dealership, and I swear on my life from 2004-2007 we spent more time fixing Ford Focuses than any other car on the road. :die At least yours is a ZX3. The 2 doors don't have rear door handles to break off. That's one less thing you'll have to worry about. Be really careful with your gas filler lid though. They're quite brittle, and you'll have one hell of a time replacing it if you break it. :banghead Good choice though, abuse the Focus through the winter, and save your little gem for fair weather.

yeah. Buying the focus was not my best choice of car...

rear driver side has rear camber so out of wack that I can actually see it just by looking from the back of the car.

rendezvoused with forum member pdqrunner today to pick up my turbinetech frame. We didn't spend to much time talking since it was cold outside but it was nice to meet him and his cool red metro. I wish I could have brought my metro, but she's away in storage for the winter.

On to the brace...

I can't believe they normally charge $190 for this thing. But I suppose it's about right considering the cost of aluminum, TIG welding, machining, etc. I'm considering making my own frame brace from steel to give forum members a cheaper option. But that's only a tentative idea.

As some folks on the forum may know, I'm one to stock pile parts and then do all the work at once. Well, that's exactly what's happening here. I probably won't get to installing this thing until Spring at the earliest. I'm getting parts together for my first megasquirt project with a high compression G10 in a super custom metro. I can't really describe my plan, so you'll just have to wait 8 months until I get started. :whistle

Had my Geo towed out to Johnny Mullet's Metro garage today for a head gasket replacement. Job was successful and the car is running even better than it was before. Hopefully the Altrom brand head gasket fairs better than the evergreen did.

Here are some pics from the action. Johnny should have some other pics uploaded to his thread later tonight.

No longer than when that engine was put together, how did the piston tops get so nasty so fast? How many miles did you drive this car after you put that engine together? Sure nastied up in a hurry.
