Installed my new seat belts today. No more crashing through the windshield. No more slamming the door on the belt. Just good old weight saving safety. Might be the best Christmas present ever.

I also took some cool shots of The Red Baron.

:hmm So you did the stuff with a reinforcing plate and so forth, right?
(I have never done a seatbelt conversion, having only a '96, myself.)

Yeah I got a big old 2x2x.375 inch steel plate in the B pillar. Unlike what is reported here in the forum, my metro did not have prethreaded holes for the belt reel so that was a little tricky.

My only complaint is that my seatbelt lights are now on. So either the bulbs will burn out or I'll get to taking out the bulbs one day.

Overall I love them. No more flying through the windshield or having my girlfriend slam the belt in the door.

I just did mine, taking the bottom door bolt off the old belts was imposible, I had to cut the belt and remove them that way, aside of that I did the plate behind b piller and now I am a safer camper, I am a delivery driver and you can guess what a pain in the ass that is.

Ha ha ha that's funny, just teasin CB.

I saw how Gary made his door belt delete and I tried them man is it a sweet mod. Wonder if the older metros have the pre holes? Like early 91-92?

It has been a few days since I did this but I'm finally getting the pics up.

Installed sway bars front and rear on my geo. It has orginal rubber bushings which were in good shape and new end links. I can't say I notice a drastic difference with the bars but I haven't driven it too much. I'm guessing I can take turns about 5 mph faster in comfort. But that's about it.

By the way, ignore the Fram filter. It was on sale.

So close to replying about the filter, but I saw your disclaimer. But, while acceptable for very temp duty, not so much simply because it was on sale.
