What kind of boots are you guys wearing? I have to get steel toe boots for work, and I've been looking around but I can't seem to find any I like. What are some comfortable ones? I'll be driving the Geo store to store, and on my feet for 9ish hours.

I haven't had to wear steel toed boots for years. My grandfather always got Red Wing. So did I. The best way to get them comfortable enough to wear is to wear them while you're sleeping for a couple of nights. Don't polish them before you get under the covers. |

Coche, the steel toe work boots that I wear are Red Wing. They are made in USA and are extremely comfortable. they wear just like non-safety shoes. Red Wing even makes some that look like tennis shoes. There is a store in Huntsville. Does Coke help pay some of the cost? Cost probably run from $90-$175.

They cover 50 dollars, every year. (I'm not sure if I'll be staying for more than a couple years.) |

try a military surplus store and look at the tan steel toes. I think mine are belleville boots. I wear my steel toes all the time......don't really need to though. They are broke in. When you get them, where them everywhere just to break them in. hell, get yourself some steel toe sandals.....just make sure they are johnny mullet approved Edited by Horn, Feb 9 2013, 09:16 PM.

I don't do steel-toes but the DuraShocks feature in the Wolverine line are comfortable. I agree with the Red Wings quality. I have a pair but the DuraShocks always come out when I have to walk 10 cars out of a couple hundred acre dealer-only auction. |

Walmart carries a wide selection. They have heavy steel-toed boots and steel-toed sneakers for $30 to $40. |

I third the Redwing route if you want quality. They have tons to choose from on their site. Some brands make composite toed shoes that are as durable and very lightweight (even in the form of sneakers) if you need to be quick on your feet |

CB - how many hours per week are you going to work? I don't know if you will need red wing quality.... Wal mart shoes are always iffy....I've had a few that were great for the price and others that after a week the bottoms would fall apart. You could tell they were glued together and just weren't holding.... |

Been buying timberland pro's for the last several years. I got 8" steel toe insulated on now. Been going on 12 hours with them on. Little pricey but they last and are very comfortable. |

I wore Red Wing Boots for years, until I tried a pair of Chippewa boots. They by far have out performed, and lasted longer than any of my Redwings. In fact, my Redwings usually lasted 2 years at my job, and my Chippewa's have been used every day for the last 6 years, and haven't even broke a stitch. I have however went thru 4 pairs of laces!! Best part is, they are made here in the USA!!
