thread type; plug by oil pressure sending unit

ive tried a 1/2" by 20 and a 12mm with a 1.75 pitch they go in 1 or 2 thread turns and stop so has anyone put something in that hole other than the plug that came in it with out rethreading the hole to a standard size thread

I have no idea what the thread size is. 1/4" NPT, maybe.

If you need a plug, I've got a used on I can mail you.

The Suzuki P/N is 09246-06002. $2.55.

It would cost more to mail you a used one than a new one from Suzuki.

I think it's a British standard pipe thread.
