SS has nickel and can take a higher temprature before failure. So are they better YES. Also guides come in many flavors bronze and factory iron are two common ones. I like the iron myself due to the wear patterns I have seen. The bronze on the Exhaust side with the higher temps and turbo applications tends to wear a bit more not to mention the bronze under severe heat can pinch the valve stem in expansion. Not a big deal on a STD daily driver most likely. And if OCI is done right. |

Not true. The Bronze manganese guides will outwear cast iron by a lot and are even better in a high heat application. The G10 has a very small guide, and is prone to premature guide wear with the stock cast iron. |
