Went to this today for work but also as a geek/nerd. Fun to see how the technology has advanced over the years.

This show is heavily 'incandescent replacement solutions' but all aspects were represented also
- cooling
- optics
- emitters
- drivers (mostly AC input)

Seoul Semiconductor, Philips, Osram, Cree were just some of the emitter companies there. ON, Fairchild, Atmel just some of the electronic companies.
Everyone was showing off white emitters FWIW.

There's one more day left (2/14). Admission to the exhibit is free as is parking.

In other news, besides doing this today, I also drive 5.5 hours each way to get there. 660 miles round trip. My metro with now 432,000 miles did fine except going northbound 101 up the Cuesta grade was painful. Had to drop to 3rd and even then it wasn't feeling great.

Saw a lot of nice horse property all along the way (Paso Robles, Salinas, etc). REALLY like Morgan Hill (always have). Lots of green with the rains we've had.

BTW, San Jose must love their graffiti, it was all over and didn't look like it was getting cleaned up.

Reminds me of the light display at the largest truck stop...

It's really impressive when you are right in front of it and all the LED lights are on.
