Are there any pick up trucks with small engines? I mean like 4 cylinder 1.3-1.5 engine. Was thinking how I'd love to get a truck if only they got good gas mileage. Would you buy a pick-up if they got great MPG? I for one would want this! |

Small toyotas/mazda trucks from the 80s had pretty good mpgs. Those small 80s trucks weren't actually that bad either. Vw had a diesel in a small truck. I think it was the cabriolet? around the late 70s/early 80s and it got 40 to 50 mpgs.... |

Just get an S-10. I've had my 91 S-10 for years and its a 4cyl 5 speed. Never breaks and gets around 34mpg if you drive careful. |

the later S10s had a 2.2 litre 4 cyl made by Isuzu that seems well built. cannot go wrong with an old Toyota with the 22 r or better yet the 22 re. |

'60s Datsun had little motors like 1200, 1300, 1500 They're kind of on the austere side of plain. AM and heater optional. |

Really that much? I heard of people getting mid 30s, but never really believed them. Man, I loved my 92 4.3/5 speed. Thing looked like crap but damn did it scream. Obviously you aren't getting much for mpgs in those.... |

My cousin used to have a chevy luv pickup, first generation. Not sure what engine was in though. Have another friend who has a early ford ranger, when they first came fuel injected with a small four banger in it. 88 model or so with a 2.0 liter engine. Heres you a three cylinder truck,
