Daughter has been driving this car ..engine purred li8ke a kitten a week ago now sounds like its ready to grenade. She claims she did not run it out of oil or anything. Are these zero clearance engines? It still starts right up so I doubt its a timing belt/gear issue but just wondering. I only heard it over her cell phone so haven't laid eyes or ears on it yet...Just getting some ideas here on what these engines are knowen for failure wise. |

They are non-interference so the timing belt breaking or jumping is not an issue. Broken pistons are not so uncommon. |
