Oh, forgot to add, that we already have land, 2 acres :D
this is classic scoobs.

lmao.
:whistle
Her parents said we can have the back 2 acres and build on it. I assumed they did in fact own the property, but after research, they do not.

:popcorn Better keep them above ground so you can drag them to a better place.

Nothing like having a plan, then getting kicked in the nuts from behind with a steel toe shoe. :banghead

I built an addition onto my house a few years ago for $12k. Its 20x24 and well insulated. I suspect where you live, land should be about $2k/acre. Sooo, for $20k you should have a nice house and a couple of acres.

Heck, you ought to get a loan and pay it off in five years. Insulate the heck out of it.

Ever hear of a rocket mass heater? Perfect cabin heater for a couple hundred bucks, and free fuel to boot. Personally I would never build a house on anything besides a slab but I guess that is just personal preferance.

:popcorn After dealing with my dads home when he died, my condo, my mothers house and my job in mortgages, I am all for the new homes.

I was real gun hole on the solar cabin, then it occured to me a camper would be the same thing or similar in size and layout. Of course the storage container would hold up against everything but a wall of water. :hmm
