Were you competing in a race with other cars?
More comparable with qualifying runs. ............holding a line isn't exactly difficult.
you are correct. "holding a line is not really difficult" when you are comparing RUNNING THE TRACK BY YOURSELF.

Ran a few circles myself, long before you were even thought about

How many times on a Superspeedway???

Don't believe me? Do some research on "is driving hard at Talladega & Daytona" and get back to me.

More comparable with qualifying runs. Point being, is that at Talladega & Daytona it is more of a chess game and pure luck rather than actual driving talent. Brakes are not used in race condition and holding a line isn't exactly difficult.
I just found out how old you are. That puts a better light on your posts in this thread.

Well, driving is hard at those tracks, according to the articles I just read.
The speed is but one factor.
Can you point to any PROFESSIONAL drivers that concur with you.

Never heard one single driver ever say that Tally & Daytona were difficult tracks. At work right now so I'll have to provide links later.

I'm talking difficult in the actual driving of the cars.

Please provide evidence otherwise?

I'll put up the vid of me driving if you'd like.

the difficulty isn't in the track...

i'm not gonna pretend to know a lot about nascar, i don't, but i know enough about racing to know it would be hard. i know that they draft in nascar races and drafting is hard as shit, requires balls and attention. i wouldn't want to be that close to another car at that speed. passing on a track that goes in a circle where everyone is entering the turns at about the same speed is not gonna be easy. it's not about how fast you can go, it's a more tactical style of racing from what i hear.

doesn't seem to be something that's very easy.

pretty soon people will start slightly changing their stances and start saying " oh, you just took what i said wrong, i was really saying this" to try and save face. you watch >:}

I think NASCAR should stop using the super speedways, or at least make the tire compounds harder. I don't like restrictor plate racing, and that's all there has ever been at Talladega in my lifetime.

The fact that there are regularly like 50+ lead changes in the course of a Dega race should tell you something....

Exactly,

Driving the track isn't hard in itself at all. Everything I have said has been in reference to qualifying.
