Driving the track isn't hard in itself at all. Everything I have said has been in reference to qualifying

Not true.

Takes near zero skill to drive a car at Daytona/Talladega, especially on a Q lap. All up to the Car.

Moving on. I like the superspeedways.
I have been watching car racing since I can remember.
I do not pick a driver and hope he wins. I watch the race and sometimes want the leader to win, no matter who it is, and other times I want the driver that is in third place and catching up fast to win.

I like having different kinds of tracks. It tells who is the 'overall' best driver. -- having said that, I do not like Daytona.
Actually I would like to see a 1/2 mile or 3/4 mile dirt track for qualifying on at say, martinsville.--or lacking that have a dirt track incooperated in some manner.-- A "Baha 250" using NASCAR type cars would be great.
But, alas, none of that will come to be. too many bucks involved to change.

I am not a fan of the Laguna Seca races.
I do like the open wheel racing and REALLY like the motorcycle racing on that track.

Not sure what your issue is what what I said Horn.

Not back peddling at all. Understanding the draft is not easy, however that doesn't mean the cars are difficult to drive. This will be the first Daytona 500 in years where handling "may" come into effect, just because of the brand new cars.

Blatantly obvious that neither of you know anything about the sport of NASCAR aside from "left TURNZ". I'll leave it at that as having a factual debate seems pointless.

Still waiting on the answer to the age remark...

How can you have any opinion on any form of NASCAR racing Laguna Seca when it hasn't been done since the early 70s in a sub-series?

Must be too much flouride in your water supply...

You might want to google that.

You seem to have forgotten my age. I was alive and well in the '70's. So it stands to reason I can have an opinion on it.

I will say that I do not care for the road coarses that Nascar does or has done. Whether at Laguna Seca or elsewhere.

here you should find a 'click-on' link to tv, phone, or computer coverage:
http://www.nascar.com/en_us/sprint-cup-series/nascar-today.html
if not then go to nascar.com and
click on 'nascar today'

The Thunderbirds were to do the flyover during the National Anthem. Either there was no flyover or Fox did not air it.
Could it be because the guy was singing way to fast
