Cylinder liners will wear. The factory limit for taper and out of round is 0.0039". Anything more than 0.0025" and I bore to the next size. There's no need to new pistons in an engine with out of round cylinder bores. I would suggest looking into oversize parts. The only way to get the bores in the cylinders back to standard size is to replace the steel cylinder insert. It can be done, but it's $100 per hole. |

Or use some a thin spread of JB weld equally over the cylinder walls, and have the shop bore it to STD size.
