They don't have my coolant temp sensor?

Apparently neither Autozone or O'Reillys has my coolant temp sensor. O'reillys wasn't even close but Autozone's is almost identical. The little plastic guides on the sides are just flip flopped. Can I just trim these down and make it work or is that a no go.

Mine is the black one, the new one is the green on

:hmm I would try it and just see if the gauge works, you should know after it runs for a few mins. If not, I got one for my car off rockauto and it was the right style so I would try that.

I'm pretty sure this one doesn't run the gauge. This one helps adjust idle among other things when the engine is at operating temperature. I had a bad stalling out problem about 20 mins after I was driving and was told this dude could be the problem

My bad, you're right. I had to run out and look at my car! The other one runs the gauge. :smackface I would still try shaving off the tabs and trying it. I'm not responsible though if that makes something else go out!

Haha no worries, I'll just try it and see. I was just like wtf when I got home and it was the exact same but flipped around
