quick question.
'94 auto g10
car was running well and just quit while driving.
fuel pump...pumping.
will crank, but not turn over.
Batt good, alt good.
grounds tight.
error code 42
went to disconnect cam sensor and the whole connector broke off.
question is: would a broke wire(s) to the cam sensor cause the above problems?

/yeah i kindda already know the answer but i want to share my pain

Check for a broken timing belt.

crankcase

:gp

Look inside oil add hole, do you see anything moving in there? If no = broken timing belt.

EDIT: Check for broken timing belt anyway, but broken cam sensor plug is going to need to be fixed, obviously.
If the belt is ok then then connector was probably the problem (would cause above symptoms) and just came apart when you tried to remove it.
