Hello everybody am new to the metro world. Just bought a 98 CHEVY Metro 1.0 5 speed From a neighbor for a Hun . Body and interior are excellent shape. Since I live in a remote area it was hard to find a engine for it. Finally found a engine for it a few hours away. It is a remanufactured 96 engine. Just wondering if it is possible to swap it into my metro. Thanks for your time.

I took part of the day off and went and met with the guy up north. Towed my metro along just in case lol. Checked out his shop was cool to see someone so much into metros. His whole shop was nothin but metros. He said he would put it in change the pan and sensors that need to be put in from the old engine. Man wish I would've waited till I got home and read my first post lol. Coulda got a engine from the King of metro engines.... Damit. I think Don't feel bad Hanuman I just pee'd a little too lol. Beautiful engine Geo Glenn. Wish I could of put that beauty in my metro. This guy was very knowledgable and knew a lot about metros. Sat and listened to the history from swift to geo to chevy lol. I can see why people love these cars so much. I can't wait to drive mine for the first time. But I might have to go find another metro just for Glenn's engine lol. Thanks guys for being so helpful never been on a forum where people answered back and were so helpful so fast. |

Your hundred dollar motor can be a spare and Glenn's candy can be the equivalent of a hot looking stripper under your hood, ...
