You nailed it!! That's not good. Looks like it's time for a new head gasket.

What are the symptoms? I've see radiator flush do that all by itself - had nothing to do with the head gasket. |

haha sorry i was relaxing in my hot tub. been a stressful day. thought my radiator blew.. but it was just my overflow tube. got pretty hot and leaked. then when i went to check my coolant level, i pulled off the cap, squeeze my hose and what looked like oil resurfaced... my head gasket does seep barely a little bit when it is cold and i am replacing it here within the next week. but i'm scared that there is damage to anything. and i cant really tell if it is misfiring. i don't really know what it would feel like besides a sputter. my car is loud and can't hear much. and yes, i do lose coolant ever so often my over flow will be empty. |

Your overflow is supposed to have fluid in it. (I don't mean that insulting, I'm not sure if you know that or not.) I would worry, but that's just my opinion. |

Get a new radiator cap. That's cheap and easy. |

Mine leaks at the o ring just behind the water pump. It took me a week to notice it due to it being a dark corner I seldom crawl into.. But if your over pressuring? Bad cap perhaps. |
