So Woodie sold his car to Boydness (mechanical issues or just cuz?) and then hurricane Sandy smushed it so you bought it? :x
Well, glad to see you are at least saving it :thumb

I sold it to Boydness because of my impending move to England. Then I chickened out and didn't move. Lost a lot of things I loved dearly in that little episode of stupidity.

I think those wheels are hideous, but I guess that's just personal preference. Here's what it's supposed to look like:

Last picture is from before I did the suspension work to it, it's a little bit high as you can see.

Ahh, I see.
Dont worry, England isnt a place for us Americans. Last time I went there I was treated rather poorly when I said I was from the US or "The States" as they said it. When I returned last year to visit the Isle of Man I said I was from Canada :D
You should buy it back, or another one :dunno

I did not get the original wheels in the deal. Boydness is keeping those. I don't mind the wheels that are on it now since none are bent or anything and no scuff marks. These rims came off of Boydness's blue vert.............

I will have the car road worthy by the end of this week, but I still need to finish correctly with a paint job. The wife's 96 need a paint job also, so I am working on it.

Looking good John.

And what a trailer! I think it should say "Ecomudder" on the sides though.

Made a road trip the Mercer, PA to meet up with member PA Metro :rocker

He hooked me up with a nice front bumper, radiator overflow tank, and a few donated items for EcoMudder! After I got home, I got the radiator replaced, reserviour replaced, and installed the front bumper. A test drive reveiled some noises and back at the shop the custom rear trailing arms heim joints were replaced and swaybar bushings. Turned out nice......

Pa Metro also had a matching red car down there with a good hood and left fender. I will be seeing him again real soon.

Yes. Those are hood pins. The front mount for the latch and latch were too mangled to use even with my welding skills. Since I am getting all matching color replacement parts from PA Metro, I figured I would pin this one.

Very cool. I was afraid it would end up in the junkyard. I loved that car.

I would never had let that happen...
That car is by far the best metro on the road, I wanted to keep her myself.

It just took a little time for Johnny and I to coordinate the ability to get her there for the restoration, as there is not anyone else that should be trusted (beyond Woodie himself) for such a task. :cheers

And yes, I kept the rims for the restored Red vert (Fire). Those rims from the Blue vert (Ice) are either a 'love them' or 'hate them' kind of rim.
