So i got the car fax today and i wanted to know how many miles my car has, right now it reads 21k and this is what i found

75,287 01/10/1997
77,463 03/04/1997
78,000 03/06/1997
95,164 01/13/1998
95,169 01/14/1998
104,119 11/17/1999
43,891 05/15/2009 Possible Odometer Rollback/Rollover
92,000 11/07/2011
92,435 11/16/2011
92,812 12/15/2011

I was thrown off by the 104,119 but i guess it was actually 10,411.9 and they read it wrong.
So it was doing 104k miles back in 99 so when it gets its next reading its in 09 and it has 43k. Now 33k miles in 10 years for a Geo metro, i don't think so, the car shows activity in between those years

Then the car appears in Yuma with the 43k miles, i think it rolled over to 243k miles and by now it has 21k on the clock, so 321k miles? so around 80k miles in 4 years or 20k miles a year, could be? does my car have 221k or 321k, we might never now =o What do you guys think?

I just cleaned the EGR seafomed it and replaced the CTS and it runs perfect =3 compression was 160 155 155

i reached 100 mph =o in Mexico in the paid toll road... very nice roads by the way

Answer- a bunch :D

I'd say 321k. It appears that the PO put miles on it fairly quickly, so I'd say it rolled over a 2nd time between '99 and '09

Maybe the PO changed out clusters. I have thrown in 3 clusters since I've owned my metro. I really don't know how many miles on my whip. I just know I keep it in great shape and it doesn't let me down.

you car has 6 numbers on the clock... however can anyone say if a 91 Geo had six numbers for the mileage? (mine had 5.0 and no tach, so I switched to 6.0 digits and a tach)

If it did originally have 6.0 digits i would say your odometer was replaced. It did NOT roll over as that would have meant 1,000,000 miles.

Is your car a standard or automatic? does your current odometer have a Tach? Perhaps the original did not? and they switched to one that did. Or the old one just broke.

Given 104000 miles in 8 years i would assume another 100,000 miles to 2009, then 50,000 miles to 2011, For a grand total of 250,000 miles.

i have a 96 and i have 160000 miles

My 91 4 door manual reads 59k miles nowadays,
I'm assuming from the condition the car is in it has at least 259k on it, still runs great, just for a car thats as old as I am, its in as rough of shape as I am ;)

Maybe I should run a car fax as well...
Geo glenn worries me, mine could have 559 for all I know...

My '97 reads 362,000 miles but it had a 110,000 mile motor and tranny swapped in late last year.

When I registered the RH skate, I too had the odometer flag, and it was because someone guessed on the odometer reading and put '16000' on the paperwork. Not sure why the DMV took that round number as the truth.
